About Me

Salam Alaikuum.. Welcome to my Blog :) My name is Lina-Spahic, I am Originally Indonesian and currently living in Bosnia Herzegovina. I came up with the concept of a beauty blog because I have soo many interests in Fashion and Beauty that I figured I needed an outlet to get them out… and hopefully touch those with similar mindsets and passions. I'm not great in particularly at anything, but i'm HAPPY just being me :) In this blog I hope to share Tips and thoughts on Beauty and Fashion and Especially for Hijabis. I will write review about things i would wear and it look nice on me, what i bought and i have tried, and what i will buy and give my view to you out there. Please note that this blog is on Beauty category.. not Religious category. I hope you will enjoy it ♥♥♥

NATURAL BEAUTY - MAKE UP TREND FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2012

Natural beauty was featured all over spring/summer 2012 collection of so many designers & magazine this year. Much of this look focused on a FLAWLESS complexion which i love.. or faking it until you make it with the right cosmetics.

This type brings out the beauty in simplicity. It's like "Hey i'm not wearing make up, but i'm flawless" look.
A natural looking make up doesn't require a lot of products and techniques. A key tip in achieving this look is by having a good skin care routine, like moisturizing and exfoliating your face. If you are looking for a great facial wash for exfoliating, i would recommend "Clean & Clear EXFOLIATING daily wash". Honestly i really love this product, and i am currently using it. And i believe you can find it very easy in drugstore or pharmacy

My favorite make up for this dewy flawless finish is by applying my favorite foundation studio sculpt from MAC. This foundation provides a smooth full coverage dewy natural look. I am using this foundation in shade NC25. So if you have same skin color like me, you can try this shade. Unfortunately there is no MAC in Bosnia, so i have to always order it from a friend :/

Next, you can apply concealer if you need to cover acne scars or discoloration on your face.
What i love about this look is the skipping of eye shadow.. I personally didn't like wearing eye shadow as it might look that you are having so much make up all over your face.
However, Applying mascara is an optional for this look. I'm type of person who can't live without my mascara and eye liner, so i would still apply mascara and tiny eye liner on my lid.
Yeaayy.. Fresh, natural, and effortless for spring and summer !!

Get ready for spring time with these amazing make up trends. Let your natural beauty shine this season ;)

IT'S SPRING !!! SAY NO TO BLACK !!!

I have major confession to make, i have been wearing too much black ! I think my coat, tunics, scarf, and boot from winter take over the fashion sense. Last week i was on a mission to find nice shoes and tops for spring, and i wanted something different. My friend's eyes catch 1 beautiful spring shoes and she forced me to get a pair of it. Honestly it was a great shoes and a great choice. BUTTT i have gone mad wearing black ! Today i realize i have so many black and grey color in my wardrobe !
So what is it about black that makes it so easy to run to when we don't want to think about fashion.

1. It matches everything
2. It's slimming
3. It's sleek and sophisticated
4. Black flare pants/legging looks best
5. Black is CHIC !!

Even though many of my excuse may be true, now is Spring.. and wearing black just looks heavy while colorful flowers are blooming and the sun is warming up the sky.

My simple step to change

1. I took the first step of eliminating anything black in my wardrobe that i absolutely wasn't absolutely loving anymore or was worn out.
2. It's definitely time to pull out some colorful fabric and sew up a sweet dress and a new top in a beautiful colors of course
3. Begin to wear my jewelry and accessories more to inspire and spice things up

If wearing black is inevitable, pair it with colors and bright neutral like taupe, tan, white, and light grey. also toss a pattern in the mix. Wearing black with basics and also black scarf can seriously be boring.

HIJAB TUTORIAL: TURBAN WRAP FOR EVERYDAY, SPECIAL OCCASION & FASHION SHOW

After watching and reading about Fashion Week F/W 2011, I can conclude that turban mania is in full swing ! I guarantee there was at least one turban on the catwalk or in the crowd of every fashion show this season. It's either New York fashion week or Islamic fashion festival. So manyyy that I decided I should do turban tutorial :)
I prefer call it a head-wrap than Hijab, as this turban style is also famous and can be wear for non Hijabi. There are some version of wrapping a turban wrap, Some more pared down, others were big and wrapped over the top.
The one i did in tutorial is the turban style that Hijabi also can wear. However, to wear a turban wrap or hijab, it demands confidence. You have to believe, truly believe, in your look if you want to wear them. In this video tutorial, i combine with the accessories so it looks more glamorous. but you can also wear it without any accessories to keep the simple look :)

WINTER IS COMINGGG...

Weather is getting cold here in Bosnia, no more summer cotton, all change to winter's wool :) Today i just clean up my wardrobe, putting aside all my summer cloth. Checking my winter outfits, and realize that i need some basic things for this cold weather, such us inner pants, basic turtle neck, etc. hmmm.. it came accross in my mind that living in 4 season country, you always feel a need to buy something new in every season that you might need. Unlike in my country, whole year we dress the same :D there is no need of a winter boot, coat, turtle neck, underpants, shawl, etc. But guess what, i think living in 4 season country is really interesting. Every season you feel fresh new you !!
Trying to get an interesting outfit ideas for fall and winter this year, i found these very nice, fresh fall and winter outfits. Which one is your favorite winter style ;) check it out..

IED MUBARAK

Salam Everyone..

Been a while i did not post anything. And today finally after 2 month i again write something on my Blog. I am quite surprise how i got so much respond from friends and some people who were asking why i didnt post anything for long time, and asking me to continue posting some Hijab and beauty topics as well as a Tutorial.
At first i was just trying to make my blog as a place where i can get out my interest in Fashion and Beauty, but i didn't expect i got so many readers and feedback. Thank you so much for the appreciation.
I have been super duper busy with my personal business. People shop like crazy near the Ied. Besides i had my eye Lasik surgery, and it required me to not sit in front of computer for quite sometimes.
I was sooo sad that i cannot make Hijab tutorial for Ied occassion. Before my eye surgery, the Doctor required me to not put any contact lens for about 2 month. It is quite hard for me to see my self on camera and mirror without my lens, as it's so blur.

Anywayyyyyyyyysss, How's everybody's Ied ?? I just want to say IED MUBARAK to all my friends and viewers. May Allah keep our heart & home always happy. I'm sure you have such an Amazing IED as i did have really great time. I want to share my Ied outfit i am wearing from RABIA Z collections. The package arrived on time direct to my home in Zenica, just 2 days before the Ied and I loved it..!!!
Thank you So muchhh Rabia Z
