About Me

Salam Alaikuum.. Welcome to my Blog :) My name is Lina-Spahic, I am Originally Indonesian and currently living in Bosnia Herzegovina. I came up with the concept of a beauty blog because I have soo many interests in Fashion and Beauty that I figured I needed an outlet to get them out… and hopefully touch those with similar mindsets and passions. I'm not great in particularly at anything, but i'm HAPPY just being me :) In this blog I hope to share Tips and thoughts on Beauty and Fashion and Especially for Hijabis. I will write review about things i would wear and it look nice on me, what i bought and i have tried, and what i will buy and give my view to you out there. Please note that this blog is on Beauty category.. not Religious category. I hope you will enjoy it ♥♥♥

MY INNER HIJAB

Since i started to cover my hair, I finally found the hijab style that suits me, which involves me putting my hair up a little higher in order to allow my hijab to stay in place. I knowwww there are so many controversial about this "Bumpyyy" thing under the Hijab, BUT I can’t seem to find another hijab style that I like/suit, and i only really need the volume around my face, not at he back.
Well some people go so far as to claim that it is Haram (forbidden) because it draws attention to a woman's hair. But for me, I guess its all based on intentions.
So let me share with you since i have so many questions regarding my inner hijab and what i usually put under my scarf to get a little volume.

Hair Clip

You can find sizes for the hair clip, from big, medium, to small. Since i only need a little volume and just a modest height with a low bump, I usually choose the small size one, like the pink clip is consider the smallest.

After I put a hair clip, instead of using a spandex headband that most of hijabi wear for their inner scarf, i wear this kind of cap/inner scarf. Why i like this kind of inner scarf is that the front part of this inner hijab helps me easier to shape my scarf, and it also give me a longer and more oval face. Besides, the back part of this inner scarf helps my hair clip look more nice round shape at the back.

Anyway, according to my Opinion, having a moderate volume/bump for your scarf i think it looks quite nice. Just DON'T overdone it ! you don't want to look like this:

I hope this post helps you guys who is wondering what is my inner scarf in my hijab tutorial or my daily hijab. Since this hair clip thing is stirring controversy among hijabi, so if you think this does not appropriate, you don't have to follow.

  1. where do you get the smaller flower clips? i'd like to try one because i think it would make my hijab comfier on my head, but not give me a huge what-the-heck-is-under-there bump! :p

  2. Funny pic at the bottom! haha...

i agree with you on the "intention" of the person. i agree also that putting up hair, or clip at the middle the lower part of the head, for a modest round shape is acceptable and looks nice. [my hair is very short, but i have to tie it so it doesn't make me hot at the neck.. but looks not very nice cos it's like a tiny ponytail! haven't considered clips before!]

but unfortunately, some hijabis have a distorted definition of "nice". some put it up high on the head, this is where the haram part kicks in (resembling horse's tail!) cos they think it looks nice!

i think it's important for hijabis to look nice, neat and presentable (like u mentioned in ur earlier posts) - but don't overdo it so much so that you break the hukum.

ps: latest trend in malaysia? inner hijab WITH A BUN!!! no need clips after all :p

I bought it in Indonesia. i think this cap is very common in Indonesia and you can almost find it in every Hijab store stall.
In case if i find someone selling it online, i will definitely post it on my blog :)

    Thanks for viewing ^_^

  10. I hope you can get links put up on your site for those people who wish to purchase items which you show but do not have a local place to buy them. I live in Pensacola, Florida USA and have no idea even what kind of clips you use to keep the cloth in place.

  16. Muslim sister is a single mother currently (her husband is not in the USA and doesn't make enough to help out) and in need of help raising funds for his immigration expenses so that he can come to America and be with his family. We've raised $160 so far and need another $4,240. If you could please donate generously and share with others. Insha'Allah, we can all share in the reward of helping the sister to work towards bringing her husband back to his family, so he can start supporting their daughter and her. https://apps.facebook.com/fundrazr/activity/7ac1ca014af146c5b6c9e01ce548ddf0

  18. Hi there. I stumble upon your blog When I was searching for ways to wear turban hijab on YouTube. I am having this outdoor activity somewhere next week and I'm worried on how I should dress as I'm pretty new to wearing hijab. I don't want my scarf to get in my way as the activity involve shooting.... (clay target). At the same time, I don't want to be sweating under the hot sun with the hijab wrapped around my neck.
Your tutorials are great! They are easy to follow and the result are just stunning! Love your blog too..
Looking forward to more great tutorials from you.
